HIT/RUN DRIVER CRITICALLY HURT

SAVANNAH, GA. (November 22, 2013): A Fayetteville, NC, man is in critical condition in a Savannah hospital after the car he was driving left two traffic collisions and crashed into a tree on Victory Drive Thursday night.

After the midnight crash, Jeffrey Delaney, 30, was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

He was driving a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo eastbound on Victory Drive when the car struck another vehicle near Victory and Harmon Street, struck the rear of a pickup truck and preceded past Wallin Drive where it struck a palm tree.

The Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department continues to investigate.
