SAVANNAH, GA (October 23, 2013): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the collision of a vehicle and a bicycle operated by a 13-year-old boy in Downtown Savannah.

The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, on West Bay Street and Scarborough Street.

The teen was riding his bike on West Bay Street whey he rode into the path of a small SUV driven by Jacklyn Tanner, 44, of the 1900 block of New Mexico Street.

He was transported to Memorial Hospital. His injuries were non-life threatening.
