METRO TO HOLD BOATER SAFETY CLASS

SAVANNAH, GA (July 10, 2013): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Marine Patrol Unit will conduct a Georgia Boater Safety Class Saturday, July 20, at the Metro Training Center at the Savannah Mall.

Approved by the Department of Natural Resources, this free class is open to anyone 12 years of age and older. Beginning in July 2014, anyone born after 1998 must take the Georgia Boater Safety Class to operate a vessel on Georgia waters.

The class starts at 8:30 in the morning and ends at 4:30 p.m. The training center is on the second floor just outside the Dillard’s entrance.

The class is limited to 25.
