WOMAN UNHURT WHEN CAR IS SHOT

SAVANNAH, GA (June 5, 2013): Violent crimes detectives are investigating shots fired into a car that left Victory Drive closed to traffic for several hours Sunday morning.

Nasquana Fields escaped injury when multiple shots were fired into the silver Ford Edge she was driving, leaving it disabled in the westbound lanes of Victory Drive just west of Waters Avenue.

Victory Drive was closed to traffic from Waters to Ott Street between 6 and 9 a.m. as forensics officers collected evidence. The investigation continues.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward. A confidential Tip Line also is open directly to investigators at (912) 525-3124.
