METRO PROBES INMATE’S INJURIES

SAVANNAH, GA (May 28, 2013): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating a stabbing that hospitalized an inmate from the Coastal Transition Facility Saturday night.

Emory Lee Bell, 37, was discovered by passers-by just after midnight lying in the parking lot of Memorial University Medical Center. He was rushed into surgery.

Bell said he had been stabbed in a robbery.

Violent Crimes detectives are looking for information on a silver crossover style SUV that was seen in the area.
