UPDATE: Donald Scott has been safely located. SCMPD thanks CEMA, our local media and members of the community for your roles in locating him.
SAVANNAH, GA (May 17, 2013): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police officers are searching for an elderly man, reported missing from his Midtown residence, today.

Donald Scott, 71, was last seen at noon by his caregiver at his house on the 5200 block of Abercorn Street. Scott is described as a black male, weighing 215 pounds and standing 5’10’’ tall. He is said to have a full gray beard, and thick head of hair. Scott is wearing a tan jacket with light green or gray pants and a ball cap. He suffers from both Alzheimer’s and dementia. He is believed to be traveling on foot.

In the past, Scott expressed interest in the 10 block of East 61st Street, where he has acquaintances.

SCMPD and CEMA are collaborating on this search.

Metro investigators ask that information on anyone fitting this description is directed to 911 immediately.
