MAN, 18, DIES IN VICTORY DR. CRASH

SAVANNAH, GA (April 23, 2013): Major Accident Investigation Team officers are investigating a single-vehicle crash this afternoon that killed an 18-year-old Savannah man.

Forest Crawford of a Rainbow Drive address was transported to Memorial University Medical Center after the 4:24 p.m. wreck.

Crawford was driving a white 1998 Ford Explorer east bound on East Victory Drive when he lost control between Atlantic Avenue and Paulsen Street. The Explorer ran off the right side of the street, through a fence surrounding a children’s playground at a church and came to rest upside down in the church parking lot.

Savannah firefighters extricated him from the SUV.
