SAVANNAH, GA (February 22, 2013): A Brooklet, Ga., couple was killed and three people injured when a pickup truck crossed the median and rolled over into a car on Interstate 516 this afternoon.

Stephen Carroll Joyner, 29, and his wife, Camie Barnes Joyner, 31, died at the scene of the 2:16 p.m. crash. Their daughter, Dakota Joyner, 3, was listed in stable condition after being transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment of injuries she received in the crash.

Trever Chase Cannon, 22, of Bloomingdale, driver of the pickup truck, was listed in serious but stable condition.

Irven Williams, 47, a motorcyclist who laid his cycle down to avoid the overturning pickup truck, was treated at the hospital for injuries he received from the fall.

Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department, said Cannon was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed and lost control of the blue 2002 Ford F-250 pickup. The truck entered the median and overturned, rolling over the motorcycle and crashing into a westbound silver 2004 Toyota Rav 4 carrying the family.

MAIT officers continue to investigate the crash.
