WOMAN DIES IN PICKUP CRASH

SAVANNAH, GA (February 1, 2013): A Savannah woman was killed Thursday night when she lost control of the pickup truck she was driving at a high rate of speed and crashed at Fort Argyle and John Carter roads.

Joanne Marguerite Usher, 39, of an Armstrong Drive address died at the scene of the 6:22 p.m. crash in the western edge of Chatham County.

She lost control of the black Dodge pickup she was driving west on Fort Argyle Road when it entered a curve, sending it into a ditch where it hit an embankment and flipped end over end onto the shoulder of the road.

The Major Accident Investigation Team of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is continuing to investigate the accident.
