ATM ROBBERY SUSPECT SOUGHT

123SAVANNAH, GA (January 24, 2013):  Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are trying to identify and locate a gunman who has been stalking customers at a West Bay Street bank ATM machine.

The black male, about 5-7 to 5-9 and weighing between 145 and 160 pounds usually wears a mask and/or hooded shirt or jacket and approaches customers using the ATM at the Wells Fargo Bank branch on the 3500 block of West Bay Street.

He has forced customers to withdraw money and give it to him on at least four different occasions.

The gunman always runs away from the bank on foot. Robbery detectives believe he may have been involved in other incidents in both Savannah and Garden City.

Anyone with information that can lead to the identity or location of the suspect is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
