SAVANNAH, GA (September 4, 2012) Three women are being sought by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police in the investigation into the River Street shooting death of a 19-year-old Savannah man Sunday morning.

 The three women were seen in the vicinity of the shooting in the first block of East River Street and SCMPD Violent Crimes detectives think they can help determine the events that led to the shooting.

 Tiyates Lamont Franklin of an East 60th Street address died at Memorial University Medical Center after the 1 a.m. shooting.

 He had been involved in a confrontation on the first block of East River Street when shots rang out and he began running east. He collapsed at the Abercorn Street ramp and was transported for treatment.

 Violent Crimes detectives said several people were accompanying Franklin at the time of the shooting and are being asked to call the SCMPD Homicide Unit at (912) 651-6728 or call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020.  Tipsters to Crimestoppers remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
