WOMAN, 20, ‘CRITICAL’ AFTER DRUG SHOOTING

SAVANNAH, GA (August 7, 2012) Violent Crimes detectives from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are sorting out the details of a shooting that left a 20-year-old woman in critical condition during a drug deal Monday night.

 Lindsey Brooks of a Whitebluff Road address was transported to Memorial University Medical Center after residents on the 800 block of Maupus Street heard a shot and found her in the roadway about 9:30 p.m.

 Residents on Maupus told police they heard the shot and a car speed away.

SCMPD detectives are continuing to investigate.

 Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
